The SHAgala dinner/auction fundraiser for Sacred Heart Academy welcomes participants to our 31st annual event, “An Evening in the Vineyard”, scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2025. The school’s single largest fundraiser will feature exclusive on-site activities, along with silent auction online bidding from the comfort of home (or anywhere WiFi is available). Participants can experience games of chance, the memorable SHAgala student videos, our annual $10,000 cash raffle, and more.
The Jim & Lee Fabiano Family has issued a $60,000 matching challenge to help the collection “For the Teachers,” who continue to work above-and-beyond for the benefit of our students. Auction items and cash donations are now being accepted. Cash raffle tickets will be available before Christmas, so you can give them as gifts or buy yours before you head to Florida! They are guaranteed to sell out, so get yours early. The SHAgala Committee is dedicated to making SHAgala 2025 a successful event. Please join in this effort!

Welcome supporters of Catholic School Education at Sacred Heart Academy:
It is an honor to welcome Bishop Gruss, and many 1st time attendees, like myself, and all our distinguished guests to the 31st annual Shagala. Our theme this year is “An Evening in the Vineyard”. SHAgala has a reputation for raising funds, excitement, and support for Catholic Education across our Diocese. Even before coming to Sacred Heart, I was aware of the good work you do here. Thank you for joining me at my first experience as your pastor.
Your generous support of the mission of Sacred Heart Academy provides essential funding for the operations of our school. Your generosity keeps tuition at affordable rates and has allowed our school to grow during the last 5 years. With Shagala funding we have also been able to increase our base teacher pay significantly and have plans to continue that work into the coming year. This event and the SHA foundation provide nearly $1 million in supplemental support for the operations, salaries, and benefits of our Academy.
This evening the in vineyard reminds me of the Wedding at Cana where Jesus provides the wine. We know that many still thirst to know the joy of the Lord. Thank you for providing the support our administrators, teachers, and staff need to carry out the mission of our school. As you may have heard me say more than once, we are not alone when we walk with Jesus. What a joy it is to be with you, may God bless you for your generous response to our mission.
Blessings and Peace,
Fr. Andy Booms
Pastor
