Developing gifts in the performing arts is an important part of a Sacred Heart Academy education. SHA offers courses in band for students in grades 5 – 12. Band classes are held on a daily basis which include the rehearsing to prepare an appropriate musical repertoire for a Christmas concert and a spring concert. (See the school calendar for specific dates.) In addition to these performances, the SHA band and various instrumental ensembles frequently perform during our weekly student Mass, various athletic events and competitions at band ensemble.
