We invite you to stop by for a visit or call ahead for an appointment. Our Admissions Director will give you a guided tour and review with you the academic programs we offer. We will also share some secrets and insight to Sacred Heart Academy’s successful existence since 1889. Should you be interested in enrolling your child, our Admissions Director and/or Principal will have an interview with both the parent(s) or guardian(s) and the student(s). We want to make certain that Sacred Heart Academy will be a good fit for you and your child. Opportunities for parental involvement will be presented.
In order to get a better feel for the student environment, and to give our staff an opportunity to interact with your child, prospective students are offered the opportunity to spend a half or full day shadowing a current SHA student. Arrangements must be made ahead of time through the Director of Admissions. Prospective students are partnered with an SHA student in their grade who has similar interests and/or backgrounds. A complimentary lunch is offered.
Admission for the 2023-24 school year has closed, but our 2024-25 school year admission will open soon! Please contact our Director of Admissions & Marketing, Lisa Roach, at 989-772-1457, ext. 5. to confirm there is space in your child's grade and get on our list.
After your tour and/or meeting, you may begin our application process, which involves two steps. You begin by completing an online application and submitting the necessary supporting documentation, which includes uploading your child's latest transcript/report card, most recent standardized testing results, and attendance record (if applicable). Included in the application process is a form that needs to be completed and signed by you called "Transcript Release Authorization Form". If your child has an Individual Education Plan, a copy of that must also be uploaded during the application process. The application fee of $100 (or $200 after June1) is due at application.
Once we review your child's application and complete their reference check (grades 1-12 only) you will receive an email with the enrollment decision. If your child is accepted, you will be provided a link within the email to complete his/her enrollment. While completing the enrollment process, you will be prompted to enter your account information from which you wish to pay the registration fee ($200 grades Kinder-Prep - 6; $300 grades 7-12) and tuition.
A limited amount of financial aid is available each year. The aid is based on need. However, because of the limited dollars available, not every request may be met. After applying for enrollment at the school, should you wish to apply for financial aid, please complete an online application here. There is a $40 non-refundable application fee. The deadline to apply is April 30 for the upcoming school year. NOTE: an application to attend Sacred Heart Academy must be on file prior to applying for financial aid. Participation in our SCRIP program is strongly encouraged for all financial aid recipients.
Each spring, returning families are asked to complete the online re-enrollment process and pay the $100 enrollment fee per student to secure a place for the following academic year. The fee increases to $200 on May 1. Registration fees ($200 grades Kinder-Prep - 6 and $300 grades 7-12) are deducted from your designated account on July 1. You will receive an email notification from FACTS prior to each withdrawal. Scholarship and tuition assistance are available on a limited basis. Participation in the SCRIP program also helps to defray tuition costs. Contact the Director of Admissions for more information.
