Sacred Heart Academy, located in Mt. Pleasant Michigan, is seeking a part-time middle school (7th and 8th grades) science teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Applicants must have a State of Michigan teaching certificate valid for the 2025-2026 school year.
Catechetical certification and participation in the VIRTUS program will be required of anyone who is hired. The ideal applicant will be a teacher who has a genuine passion for teaching in a Catholic school, a high comfort level in managing a classroom of fully engaged learners, a commitment to joyful collegiality, an ability to communicate effectively with parents, and a strong foundation in subject curriculum. Sacred Heart Academy is a KP-12 grade school of approximately 450 students.

Sacred Heart Parish is seeking a reliable, full-time custodian responsible for cleaning of the church, administration building and rectory. Scheduled to work 40 hours per week year-round. We are also seeking a year-round, part-time custodian for the high school. This is an afternoon position with a start time of 3:00pm or later, scheduled to work 29 hours per week (four 6-hour days and one 5-hour day). Duties include cleaning classrooms, gyms and other areas of the building, as well as sweeping, scrubbing, trash removal and floor care. Must be detail-oriented and reliable. Sacred Heart Academy is in need of a high school robotics coach for the 2024-25 academic school year. The coach will be responsible for the development and performance of the robotics team in extracurricular learning, demonstrations, and competitions. This person should have a passion for robotics and/or STEM education and a commitment to helping students achieve their goals. Some weekends and evening hours will be required. Sacred Heart Academy is seeking part-time school bus drivers. Our drivers provide transportation to and from athletic events, field trips, and other school/parish activities. This position pays competitive wages ($20.00 per hour and meal stipend), and we will reimburse training expenses.
Must have, or be able to attain, a valid Michigan commercial driver license class B with P and S endorsements, and a DOT health certificate.
