National Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Eligibility for NHS is based on several factors.  A faculty panel first identifies which students are eligible based on the 6 pillars of character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship) and their documented community service hours. The faculty panel then requests additional information from the students who are deemed to have proper character. The student may apply for consideration by submitting an essay explaining why he/she should be chosen.  They must include their leadership and service experiences with their application.  The student must be at least a junior and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.  Admission is based on scholarship, leadership, service and character.  Members of NHS tutor in the Academic Resource Center (ARC) and participate in other service projects, half of which are community-based.  Congratulations to all NHS students for your personal contributions in maintaining high standards at Sacred Heart Academy.
