We invite you to stop by for a visit or call ahead for an appointment. Our Admissions Director will give you a guided tour and review with you the academic programs we offer. We will also share some secrets and insight to Sacred Heart Academy’s successful existence since 1889. Should you be interested in enrolling your child, our Admissions Director and/or Principal will have an interview with both the parent(s) or guardian(s) and the student(s). We want to make certain that Sacred Heart Academy will be a good fit for you and your child. Opportunities for parental involvement will be presented.
In order to get a better feel for the student environment, and to give our staff an opportunity to interact with your child, prospective students are offered the opportunity to spend a half or full day shadowing a current SHA student. Arrangements must be made ahead of time through the Admissions Director. Prospective students are partnered with a SHA student in their grade who has similar interests and/or backgrounds. A complimentary lunch is offered.
Consideration for enrollment will take place once the enrollment and record request forms have been submitted to SHA, along with a $100 per student enrollment fee. The enrollment fee increases to $125 after July 1. In addition to the forms, a copy of your child's birth certificate and latest transcript and attendance record (if applicable) are required. If your child has an IEP (individual educational plan) or 501 plan we will need a copy of that as well. A character reference check will be done by our principal with your child's current (or previous) school principal. Upon review of the enrollment materials and completion of the character reference check, a letter regarding acceptance will be sent to the parents.
A limited amount of financial aid is available each year. The aid is based on need; however, because of the limited dollars available, not every request may be met. After applying for enrollment, should you wish to apply for financial aid, please complete an on-line application here. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee. Deadline to apply is May 31 for the upcoming school year.
Each spring, returning families are asked to pay a $100 enrollment fee per student to secure a place for the following academic year. The fee increases to $125 after July 1. An invoice is sent in early July for the registration fees ($200 grades DK - 6 and $300 grades 7-12) which are due by the first day of school. Scholarship and tuition assistance are available on a limited basis. Participation in the SCRIP program also helps to defray tuition costs. Contact the Admissions Director for more information.
